Male Fertility Treatments

Add a description about this category

Surgical Sperm Retrieval

Surgical Sperm Retrieval is a procedure used to extract sperm directly from the testicles or epididymis when sperm is not present in the ejaculate due to blockages, previous vasectomy, or other conditions affecting sperm transport.

Ideal for:

  • Men with obstructive azoospermia (blockages in the reproductive tract that prevent sperm from entering the ejaculate).
  • Men who have had a vasectomy but now wish to have children.
  • Men with non-obstructive azoospermia, where sperm production is very low or limit

Hormone Treatments for Male Infertility

Hormone treatments are used to address hormonal imbalances that affect sperm production. These treatments may involve medications like gonadotropins, clomiphene citrate, or testosterone supplements.

Ideal for:

  • Men with low testosterone levels or hormonal imbalances affecting sperm production.
  • Men with conditions like hypogonadism, where the body produces insufficient sex hormones.
  • Men who have undergone medical treatments or conditions that disrupt normal hormone levels.

Lifestyle guidance

Lifestyle guidance focuses on identifying and modifying habits that may negatively impact fertility. This can include recommendations on diet, exercise, stress management, and avoiding substances known to harm sperm quality, such as tobacco, excessive alcohol, and recreational drugs. Additionally, maintaining a healthy weight, managing chronic health issues, and reducing exposure to environmental toxins can support male fertility.
